​In my 15+ years of experience in research, strategy, and design with global companies and startups I have learned how (and how not) to generate outcomes using design. I believe in science + empathy to innovate, incubate, and grow organizations.
I live on a 30-acre hobby farm in Maine, Serenity Farm and Woods, where I explore sustainable living, spend as much time as possible outdoors, learn about the history and people, and do what I can to support the local community.

Twilight Chickadee
I have an alter-ego who is an artist (alias BJ Rushton). I collect bark and other objects from the forest and make things. This piece, Twilight Chickadee was created after hours of observation of chickadees in my garden.
